Melanie Melvin has been with BD for 4 years and is a Regional Sales Specialist covering the Midwest region in BD’s Medication Delivery Solutions business unit. Melanie is currently responsible for executing clinical practice assessments at key accounts to build growth opportunities, expand business across the vascular access product portfolio resulting in product implementations, while also collaborating with marketing to create useful educational items to be used for customers.  Prior to this role, Melanie was an Associate Territory Manager in Medication Delivery Solutions responsible for cultivating and sustaining relationships within hospitals and driving growth within the product portfolio.

Melanie has been in sales for 5 years starting off her career as an Inside Sales Associate for W.W. Grainger managing revenue in their maintenance, repair, and operations industry and then on to ADP as an Account Executive cross-selling and up-selling customized human capital management solutions for small businesses. From there, Melanie began her medical device sales career at BARD/BD where she has won several sales contests, recognized as a field sales trainer, and was selected to be on an advisory board for one of the fastest moving products in the vascular access portfolio.

Melanie recently launched and is one of three Co-Chairs for the African Americans at BD Field Associate Resource Group.  Melanie is a graduate of University of Missouri -Columbia and enjoys, traveling, watching movies, and spending quality time with family and friends.
