Michelle Gaulding is Vice President, Regional Sales, for the Spine & Enabling Technologies Business at Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology. She assumed her current role in 2018 and is responsible for working collaboratively across functions, leading, and developing high-performing teams, to execute strategies that grow revenue in a $500 million market.
Michelle joined Medtronic in 2015 as Regional Sales Vice President in the Restorative Therapies Group, and has been recognized for accelerating growth, expanding market share, and exceeding goals.
Prior to joining Medtronic, Michelle held leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, and Market Access, at GSK, including Senior Global Marketing Director, Field Sales Vice President and Field Vice President, Managed Markets. Michelle began her career at Johnson & Johnson as a Medical Device Sales Representative, earning promotions to roles of increasing responsibility in multiple J & J operating companies during her tenure, including District Manager and Region Business Director, and was recognized as a Johnson & Johnson Woman Making Herstory.
In addition to her broad commercial leadership, Michelle actively contributes to expand inclusion and diversity, including leadership roles on Medtronic’s African Descent Network, and Women’s Network. Michelle was recently honored with the Sharon Piper Diggs Leadership Award in recognition for her contributions in helping cultivate, create, and foster a diverse and inclusive culture.
Michelle is also active in her community, where she serves on the boards of the National Sales Network©, the American Heart Association, Tarrant County, and the Alliance for a Brighter Community Foundation, and volunteers with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.©.
Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Central Oklahoma, an MBA Oklahoma City University, and an Executive Education Certificate in Transformational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.
Michelle lives in Dallas with her husband, and family. She enjoys spending time with family, especially competitive board games, traveling, reading, and hosting social events for her extended family and friends.
